Chapter JA of P.E.O. is now accepting applications for the JA Memorial Scholarship for 2013 in memory of Glenna Zolling. One recipient will be chosen to receive a $1,000 scholarship.
Applicants must:
- Be a female, seventeen (17) years of age or older at the time of application.
- Be a legal resident of Alameda or Contra Costa Counties, California.
- Plan to attend an accredited college or university in one of the five (5) Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, and San Francisco) beginning in the Fall of 2013.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must demonstrate quality involvement with others via work, school, family, church, or the community.
- Submit a copy of their Student Aid Report. (Received after filing a “Free Application for Federal Student Aid” form.)

Fremont, California -Pathfinder Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) is funding one impact scholarship through the Stephen Bufton Memorial Educational Fund (SBMEF). The field of study is not specified and the scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2,000.
In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must be women who: (1) are citizens of the United States (2) will be college first or second year level in August 2013; (3) are attending or have been accepted at a licensed, accredited U.S. college or university , with a GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale. The application will be completed online and requires a biographical sketch, three (3) professional letters of reference and an official transcript.
