Important Class Info
PARTICIPATION: Students participation points are kept on a weekly participation record that they turn in every Friday. If you have a zero for the day, you were either absent or didn't complete the work. Look on our class calendar to view the agenda for each day's activities. Then, locate the corresponding materials in our class locker. Get rid of those zeroes! Find out what we did, get the materials, and make up the work. I want to see you succeed!
MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS: Major assignments, such as essays and projects, will be added to the calendar at least one week in advance. Please note that all major written assignments must be submitted to Turnitin.com. Major assignments submitted after the due date will receive half credit.
TEST/QUIZZES: Hold on to all of the notes and activities from class as these will be your study materials! If you don't have them, get them through our class locker. Tests/Quizzes will be added to the calendar at least one week in advance.
PARTICIPATION: Small assignments that lead to the completion of our yearbook constitute participation points. A lot of this work is conducted outside of class, including taking pictures, interviewing people, researching, etc. It is important for students not to fall behind on these assignments because it will delay our yearbook production. Any necessary materials can be found in our class locker.
MAJOR ASSIGNMENTS: Because we have to meet our publisher's deadlines, ABSOLUTELY NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED for major assignments. If a student foresees that they will be unable to complete an assignment, he/she must make arrangements with another student to complete the work. Students can work on their pages from home through the Herff Jones eDesign website. INPROGRESS
E-mail is the best way to contact me. Please note that I generally only check e-mail during school hours on weekdays. My family keeps me too busy to do otherwise. If you would like to talk over the phone, the best time to reach me is Monday-Friday during lunch and my fourth period prep. Check the bell schedule for your reference. If students need extended help, they are welcome to make an appointment to see me during lunch, fourth period, or after school.
